Classroom Name Picker

Choose a student for a reading turn, question, classroom job, or presentation order. This classroom name picker starts with Student 1 through Student 12. Replace these sample labels with your eligible class list before spinning.

Add and check your class roster

Paste one name or classroom label per line. Use first names, initials, or classroom numbers where sufficient. Distinguish students with the same name and keep one entry per student for equal chances. Remove absent students before starting; the wheel cannot know attendance or individual classroom accommodations.

Give everyone a turn

For unique turns, choose Remove after each selection or enable Auto-remove winner in Settings. For independent draws where repeats are allowed, choose Keep instead. Explain the rule before you start. Keep entry weights equal when each eligible student should have the same chance.

Use the picker for classroom activities

The entries can also be vocabulary words, review questions, classroom jobs, or discussion prompts. The Results tab records winners and times, which can help organize presentation order. Random selection does not measure ability and should not replace the teacher’s judgment about suitable participation.

Protect classroom information

Autosave stores edits in the same browser. On a shared computer, clear personal entries after the session or disable saving in Settings. Creating a share link sends supported wheel information to this website. Use non-identifying labels for shared wheels and avoid private student records.
