About Us

WheelSpinnerLive is an independent website run by Tayyab Ali, a digital marketing practitioner and website publisher. Launched on September 6, 2026, it provides a free browser-based wheel for choosing names, tasks, numbers and other options without an account.

Who runs the website?

Tayyab manages the website, edits its guides and maintains the information about its features. The guides focus on practical tasks such as preparing a roster, understanding weights, selecting without repeats and transferring a saved wheel. They describe the tool and provide examples; they do not claim independent certification or specialist teaching credentials.

What the wheel does

The wheel spinner accepts your own entries and selects an eligible result. You can adjust colors, weights, images, spin duration, sound and result display. Winner history, entry removal, CSV files and JSON backups support activities that need more than a single draw.

Editable templates provide starter lists for classrooms, food choices, games and other activities. Review every starter list before use. A sample is a starting point, not a recommendation that every choice suits every group.

How selection works

The selection code uses the browser’s crypto.getRandomValues() function to obtain a random value. It selects from nonblank eligible entries using the active weighting rule, then animates to the result. Equal entry weights give equal theoretical chances per entry; repeated entries for the same person can give that person additional chances.

A visible spin does not verify that an organizer included every eligible participant or applied appropriate rules. Organizers remain responsible for their lists, weights, eligibility checks and how they use the results.

Saving and sharing

With autosave enabled, entries and settings can remain in the same browser profile. They do not automatically sync between devices. A JSON backup provides a portable copy of the complete active wheel.

Creating a short share link sends a snapshot of supported entries and settings to the website. New short links expire after 30 days, and large uploaded images are excluded. Anyone with a valid link may load the snapshot, so avoid sharing sensitive information. Our Privacy Policy explains these practices.
